PHOENIX — One person was taken to the hospital after a reported shooting inside a Mesa Target, according to Mesa police.

The reported shooting happened inside a Target near Power Road north of US 60 Sunday night. 

Police said the shooting was an isolated incident between two people inside the store. One person was taken to the hospital, they were conscious and breathing. 

As of Monday morning, the injured person was described as being in “critical” but stable condition.

Two people had been arrested in connection to the shooting. One of them was later released.

Police said the other detained individual has been identified as 21-year-old Dylan Stinson, who is facing charges of aggravated assault and unlawful discharge of a firearm.

Police do not believe there is a threat to the community. Detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances leading up to the Target shooting.
