MARANA, Ariz. — An investigation is underway after one woman and one man were found dead in Marana on Monday.

Marana police say they responded to a home near Silverbell & Cortaro. That’s where they found a woman who had been shot dead.
Less than a mile from the home, a vehicle involved in the situation was located in the parking lot of Lil Abner’s Steakhouse. Two children were inside the vehicle unharmed.

Marana police say they located a man dead in a desert area near that vehicle.
They tell us they’re investigating the shooting at the home as a homicide.
MPD says those children are safe tonight. They declined to say how the children are related to the two deceased victims, but did confirm the incidents are related.
