PHOENIX — A 7-year-old child was hit by a car while on a “go-cart” in a Tempe cross walk, according to police.
The crash happened Saturday morning near Alameda Drive and College Avenue in Tempe.
Police said the car was taking a right hand turn when it hit the small go-kart. The child was accompanied by a parent at the time of the incident.

The child was taken to the hospital for precautionary reasons, police said. The child is currently in stable condition.
