YUMA COUNTY, Ariz. — A teenage girl who had been reported missing was found dead Monday morning in southern Arizona.
The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office responded on June 1 to a report of a dead body found on Adams Avenue and discovered a deceased female. Her death was described by the sheriff’s office as being “suspicious.”
The individual could not initially be identified but YCSO eventually discovered the deceased person was a 15-year-old from the San Luis area who had been previously reported missing. Next of kin were notified of the girl’s death, the sheriff’s office said.
Authorities have not disclosed how the girl may have died.
