CASA GRANDE, Ariz. — The westbound lanes of Interstate 8 were blocked off early Friday morning due to a crash near Casa Grande.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety said a single-vehicle collision was reported near milepost 172, in the area of Thornton Road.
It’s unknown whether any injuries were reported.
Drivers are encouraged to seek out an alternative route. The eastbound lanes are not affected.
