During a routine lab inspection by the Arizona Department of Health Services, inspectors observed failed Aspergillus testing records being accepted as passing. Because of this information, marijuana establishments are voluntarily recalling specific products due to possible contamination.

“Aspergillus causes different types of infections, including chronic lung conditions and widespread infections. Symptoms can be mild to severe,” according to the Centers for Disease Control.

No illnesses have been reported due to the possible contamination of the products, and the products are being voluntarily recalled as a precautionary measure.
