TUCSON, Arizona — A 59-year-old man was arrested and is facing seven misdemeanor counts of reckless burning after Tucson Fire crews extinguished multiple brush fires near a bike path Tuesday night.

Tucson Fire responded to West Camino del Cerro, near Silverbell, around 10 p.m.

TFD worked with Northwest Fire and Green Valley Fire District crews to extinguish the fires.

A crew remained on scene overnight to monitor the situation. No injuries were reported.

A suspect was identified as Thomas G. Warren, according to the Tucson Police Department.

Officers detained Warren and at the conclusion of their investigation, he was arrested and is facing seven misdemeanor counts of reckless burning.

Warren was ultimately booked into the Pima County jail.
