PEORIA, Ariz \u2014 A woman shot a man outside a grocery store on Friday afternoon and later shot and killed herself at another location.<\/p>

The shooting happened near a Safeway on El Mirage Road and Vistancia Boulevard, officials said. The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition.<\/p> <\/div>\n

Police told 12News the shooting suspect fled the area in a vehicle following the incident and was later found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.<\/p>

At this time, the department believes the man and woman may have known each other. Police said the shooting was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community.<\/p> <\/div>\n
