SELIGMAN, Ariz \u2014 Arizona deputies say they arrested two people after finding over 2,000 gallons of stolen diesel fuel in a U-Haul.<\/p>\n

The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office (YCSO) said the investigation began when a Seligman gas station reported a significant amount of diesel fuel stolen from its pumps on May 22.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

Deputies said a neighboring gas station was targeted the same night.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

In total, more than 2,000 gallons of diesel fuel were lost, YCSO said.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

During the initial investigation, a YCSO deputy found a parked U-Haul truck that matched one of the suspect vehicles.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

Officials said the deputy noticed diesel fuel leaking from the cargo area onto the street. Shoe prints could reportedly be seen leading from the fuel spill to a nearby hotel room.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

With the assistance of YCSO’s Criminal Investigations Bureau and DPS, the suspects were arrested inside a hotel room.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

YCSO said they found a credit card skimmer, receipts for specific burglary-like tools, multiple credit cards bearing the names of uninvolved individuals, indicating potential identity theft and fraud, and the keys to the suspects\u2019 U\u2011Haul.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

While officials searched the U-Haul, they found a makeshift transport system with seven containers of 2,100 gallons of stolen diesel fuel.<\/p>\n

The suspects in the theft were identified as 37-year-old Dachel Roberto Michel Campos and 23-year-old Jesus Daniel Rodriguez Yordy. Both men are from Las Vegas, YCSO said. Both men were arrested on burglary and theft charges.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

A third, unidentified suspect was involved, according to detectives.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

A newer-model black Ford F-650 flatbed truck left the area before YCSO arrived, officials said.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

Anyone with information regarding the unidentified third suspect, the black Ford F\u2011650 flatbed, or this incident is urged to contact YCSO at 928\u2011771\u20113260 or submit an anonymous tip through Yavapai Silent Witness at 1\u2011800\u2011932\u20113232.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

YCSO said the incident is not believed to be connected to any train or truck burglaries along I-40.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
