FORT WORTH, Texas \u2014 The stars of Taylor Sheridan’s North Texas-filmed TV shows are known to be imperiled by a margarita or two, but the cast of “Dutton Ranch” faced a more deadly danger on set. \u00a0<\/p>\n

During an interview on the “Kelly Clarkson Show,” “Dutton Ranch” and “Yellowstone” stars Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser said they dealt with a massive issue: rattlesnakes on set.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

“Eight months, 3,400 rattlesnakes we caught,” Hauser said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

The show was primarily filmed in North Texas and premiered May 15 on Paramount+, WFAA previously reported.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

“Dutton Ranch” sees Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler start a new life in a fictional South Texas town, where they end up warring with a rival ranch.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

Clarkson, a Fort Worth native, sympathized, saying she once had a giant den of rattlesnakes on her property.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“In Fort Worth\u2014I know, because I lived there\u2014there are a lot of rattlesnakes. People don’t realize how many snakes are in the area,” Clarkson said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

Reilly said they had six “snake wranglers” on set to clear out the snakes from the areas where they were filming. It was especially treacherous for Reilly, who\u2014true to character\u2014had to run through the tall grasses of North Texas wearing stilettos.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

“They just pick them up and put them somewhere far away from us,” Reilly said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

One of the most treacherous stories came from Hauser, who said he showed up to film a scene just to find out that there was a den of 40 or 50 rattlesnakes. Filming was delayed that night\u2014of course.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

“Nothing will make me run faster than hearing that sound in the dead of night,” Clarkson said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
