It&#8217;s finally here after over a year of preparation, permitting, development and inspections.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>From permits to developments and inspections, the PHX Cat Caf\u00e9 put a year of hard work into bringing this new location to the Valley.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>&#8220;It\u2019s such a relief to finally have it done,&#8221; PHX Cat Cafe CEO Carrie Schwartz said. &#8220;In the past year leading up to it, there&#8217;s been a lot happening with cats on our wait list, and my personal life. I had a baby last year.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Besides being a mother to two kids, Schwartz is now helping even more cats across the Valley find a loving home.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s a little more chaos,&#8221; Schwartz said with a smile. &#8220;But, it&#8217;s really being able to help twice the number of cats. This facility is a little bit larger than downtown, which means we can have more cats.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The cat cafe in north Phoenix has room for five more cats than the downtown Phoenix location.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/scottsdalemovinghub.com\/?p=773\">Judge weighs whether Arizona Treasurer Yee must release more ESA spending records in 12News lawsuit<\/a><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>&#8220;Hopefully they get to find that forever home as well,&#8221; Schwartz said.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Between the downtown and north Phoenix locations, 61 cats are being cared for. It&#8217;s helping keep them away from an outdoor life.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>&#8220;In Phoenix, we have a terrible problem with outdoor cats,&#8221; Schwartz said. &#8220;We, actually in this room, have about a dozen cats, all from the same RV park.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Audra McCormick volunteers full-time at the space near 43rd Avenue and Union Hills Drive. She said PHX Cat Cafe needs more helpers and money donors.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>&#8220;I just think it&#8217;s so important that people truly understand that this is a 100% non-for-profit,&#8221; McCormick said. &#8220;Without your donations or your time, it makes it even harder for us to accept more cats.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>This month, the PHX Cat Caf\u00e9 is holding a 50\/50 raffle. It\u2019ll cost you $20 to enter.
