In April, Mitcham was found guilty of murdering Allison Feldman inside her Scottsdale home in 2015.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

Mitcham faces the death penalty or life in prison.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

It\u2019s a case that has broken the hearts of Feldman\u2019s friends and family.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

“I can’t piece together why he picked her,” Feldman’s father, Harley, said in April. “I just don’t know. I don’t know that we’ll ever figure it out.”<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

12News spoke with Harley Feldman last month after he saw his daughter’s killer finally get convicted.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

Harley sadly died just weeks after hearing that verdict, and what led to his passing is still unclear.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

Ian Mitcham was arrested in 2018, but just this year, he was found guilty of murder, sexual assault and burglary.<\/p>\n

The jury is now getting ready to decide if he will face the death penalty or life in prison. This comes after finding aggravating factors in the case, including Mitcham’s previous conviction for a different crime, and prosecutors say he committed the murder in a “cruel manner.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

Weeks before Allison Feldman\u2019s father died, Harley mentioned what\u2019s going to be tough about finding out the fate of the man who murdered his daughter.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

“The problem is we have the life sentence,” Harley Feldman said back in April. “We\u2019ll never have her back, and that\u2019s the really hard part.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
