Fire crews responded to the scene near Washington and 9th streets, where the first arriving unit found flames already heavily involved in a strip-style apartment building.
Firefighters focused on the main body of the fire before working to stop the flames from spreading to neighboring units. Crews from Casa Grande Fire and the Pinal County Fire and Medical Authority assisted in the response.
Officials say their efforts helped contain the fire, limiting the damage to one unit while saving four adjoining apartments.
One person was evaluated by paramedics for non-life-threatening injuries, and one displaced resident was assisted.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
