WASHINGTON — Peabo Bryson, the R&B singer behind “Beauty & the Beast” and “A Whole New World,” had a stroke and is “under medical care,” his representatives told media outlets Sunday.

The 75-year-old Grammy-award winning singer and songwriter has had many hits, including “If You’re Ever in My Arms Again” and “Tonight I Celebrate My Love” with Roberta Flack.

Bryson’s condition is currently unknown and it’s unclear when exactly he had the stroke. No other information is known at this time.
