PHOENIX — A man was hospitalized after a shooting in Phoenix on Saturday, the city’s police department said.

Around 7 p.m., officers were called to the area near 34th Avenue and Cholla Street for a shooting. As the officers arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound. Authorities said he was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The identity of the victim was not released. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
