YAVAPAI COUNTY, Ariz. — An Arizona man wanted by law enforcement for a violent attack was apprehended and detained at an amusement park in southern California.

Jason Marchesano, 46, was taken into custody at the Legoland park in California on a warrant for charges of attempted second-degree murder, kidnapping and aggravated assault.

The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office said Marchesano had been investigated for an attack reported in Paulden in late October. The suspect allegedly used bed sheets to restrain the victim and strangled her before she managed to escape.

 Detectives continued investigating multiple leads across Arizona and Nevada before discovering that Marchesano had traveled to California, resulting in local law enforcement tracking him down to the amusement park.
