SURPRISE, Ariz — The City of Surprise Police Department charged two teens following an investigation into a party where a teen was assaulted, and firearms and tasers were allegedly displayed.

Police have not shared the specific charges for the teens, but said the criteria were met for Arizona’s Preston’s Law. 

The initial investigation began on April 4, around 9 p.m., when the police department was called to a home near Loop 303 and Greenway Road for a call about a “subject with a gun”.

Reports of firearms and tasers were allegedly displayed at the West Valley teen party during Easter weekend. Police said the incident happened when no parents or guardians were present.

The event was reportedly shared on social media, and a large number of people attended. The host later stated that many people who arrived were unknown.

Police said a group of people assaulted a teen. The teen’s condition is unknown.
