The grocery chain announced that its popular mini canvas tote bags will return to stores Wednesday, June 17 in four striped pastel colors: green, pink, blue and brown. The bags will retail for $2.99 each, while supplies last.

The limited-edition totes measure 13 inches long, 11 inches tall and 6 inches wide, making them suitable for smaller shopping trips, according to People.

The release marks the latest chapter in the retailer’s mini tote craze, which has sparked long lines and sellouts at stores across the country since the bags first debuted in 2024. Previous releases have drawn crowds before stores opened, with some locations selling out within hours.

The popularity has also fueled a resale market online, where some totes have been listed for hundreds, and in some cases thousands, of dollars above their original price.

The striped bags follow several other limited-edition versions released by Trader Joe’s, including pastel spring totes, Halloween-themed designs, mini cooler bags and micro-sized totes.

As demand has grown, Trader Joe’s said it has also taken steps to combat counterfeit versions of the bags being sold online.

“We are aware that some knockoff totes are being sold online and have recently filed a lawsuit to protect our customers from being misled,” a Trader Joe’s spokesperson said in a statement to People magazine.

The company said it sells Trader Joe’s-branded products exclusively through its stores to help ensure customers receive authentic merchandise.

The new striped totes are expected to arrive at Trader Joe’s locations nationwide on June 17, though availability may vary by store.

Their release comes after the addition of mini insulated tote bags, which have a 1.5-gallon capacity and come in six different colors, including pink, blue, orange, lavender and striped patterns.
