Officers responded around 11:11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 26, to the Charter House apartments in the 1300 block of Fenwick Lane for a welfare check. Inside, they found Hilde Henderson dead at the scene.
Henderson’s body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, where an autopsy determined her death was a homicide, according to police.
Through their investigation, detectives identified Henderson’s daughter, 29-year-old Vanessa Tjongarero-Henderson of Clarksburg, and her girlfriend, 36-year-old Samantha Raebel of Phoenix, as suspects in the case.
Investigators have obtained arrest warrants charging both women with first-degree murder. As of Thursday, authorities said the suspects had not been located and are asking for the public’s help finding them.
