PHOENIX — A large police presence was seen in the area of SR 143 and University Drive Thursday night.

Officers were called to the area of 46th and Chambers streets around 7 p.m. for an aggravated assault involving a couple, according to Phoenix police.
There were reports that the suspect pointed a gun at the victim, and then the couple left the area in a car.
Officers located the car, and a pursuit began.
The suspect crashed the car in the area of SR 143 and University Drive and then ran off.
Officers are searching in the area with K9 assistance.
The victim was not injured.
