SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Six people were hospitalized Saturday after a wrong-way crash on SR-101, Arizona DPS said.

A little after 11 p.m., troopers were sent to the scene of a three-vehicle crash on State Route 101 near Chaparral Road.
DPS said the driver of a black Audi sedan was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes just before the crash occurred by milepost 46. The Audi sedan and two other vehicles were involved in the crash, according to officials.

A total of six people were taken to a nearby hospital, with one person suffering from serious injuries.
Northbound Loop 101 was closed as police investigated the incident.
