PHOENIX — Outfielder Alek Thomas is headed to Hollywood.

The Arizona Diamondbacks announced Tuesday that Thomas was traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers in exchange for 17-year-old OF Jose Requena.

After a slow start to the season, Thomas became expendable. The D-backs called up their number 1 prospect, Ryan Waldschmidt.

Thomas, 26, played five seasons between 2022-2026 with the D-backs. In 448 games, he hit .230 with 67 doubles, 10 triples, 31 homers, 143 RBI, 72 walks and 28 stolen bases.
