PHOENIX — Phoenix firefighters responded Thursday to an incident that involved a building’s awning collapsing to the ground.
Sky12 footage shows several firefighters outside a business located near Greenway and Cave Creek roads where piles of debris have fallen in the front of the building.
Nobody appears to be trapped beneath the debris and crews were working to safely remove the debris, the fire department said.

Some of the debris fell on top of a vehicle parked outside the business.
Utilities to the building have been secured to ensure there’s no gas or electrical hazards, the fire department said.
It’s not yet clear how the awning fell from the structure.

A camera stationed outside a business located across the street captured the moment the awning collapsed to the ground.
