CHANDLER, Ariz. — An 80-year-old has been taken into custody by police for allegedly leaving the scene of a deadly crash in the East Valley.

On the night of May 6, officers responded to the area of Chandler Fashion Center, located near Chandler Boulevard and Price Road, for reports of a crash involving a pedestrian.
Upon arrival, officers found an injured pedestrian, identified as 55-year-old Alfred Canner, who died at the scene.

Witnesses told police that the involved vehicle fled the area after hitting the pedestrian outside of a crosswalk. Police were provided dash camera footage of the incident.
Investigators later found the involved vehicle and took Milo Beck into custody for allegedly being involved in the crash.
