PHOENIX — A triple house fire in Phoenix on Thursday night left 11 people displaced and some animals rescued, according to the city’s fire department.
The fire was first reported in a vacant home, then spread to two occupied homes. In total, 11 people will be displaced.
Crews were called to the area of 35th Avenue and Thomas Road around 9:15 p.m. Thursday, according to the Phoenix Fire Department.
Firefighters went into all three homes and safely evacuated anyone inside, the fire department said.
PFD said during one of the searches, firefighters rescued two dogs and four birds.
Community assistance members have tended to those families affected, officials said.
