TUCSON, Ariz. — A Tucson man has been found guilty of killing his pregnant girlfriend back in 2025.

On May 15, the jury found Bariki Hopkins guilty of second degree murder for the death of 26-year-old Anisa Moreno.
Hopkins was not found guilty of first degree murder.
According to the Tucson Police Department, Hopkins and Moreno lived together near South Kino Parkway and 36th Street. The two reportedly got into an argument on January 30, 2025, around 3:30 a.m.

Hopkins shot his 26-year-old pregnant girlfriend in the back of the head, TPD said.
Moreno was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, where she later died.
