On Friday, officials told WHAS11 that a new Texas Roadhouse restaurant is being built near the Bubba’s 33 on Veterans Parkway in Clarksville, Indiana. That new, larger restaurant is expected to open sometime in mid-November.

Once the new location opens, Texas Roadhouse said its first-ever restaurant, located at Green Tree Mall on Lewis and Clark Parkway, will close.

Texas Roadhouse officials called the move “bittersweet” given the restaurant’s history, but said design features of the original location will be incorporated in the new space.

The new restaurant location comes as the steakhouse shared it raised menu prices by nearly 2%, according to an earnings call in May. The price hike went into effect in early April.

Last year, the steakhouse chain officially became the largest casual-dining restaurant chain in the United States, surpassing longtime leader Olive Garden.

The Louisville, Kentucky-based steakhouse chain saw its U.S. sales surge 14.7% in 2024 to $5.5 billion, while adding 26 new locations to reach 664 restaurants nationwide, according to Technomic’s latest Top 500 restaurant chains report. The chain also operate in one U.S. territory and ten countries.
