PHOENIX — A new fire has sparked in the Tonto National Forest.
The fire has burned 60 acres on Forest Service Road 24 north of the Bronco Trailhead, according to the Tonto National Forest.

The fire is burning at a moderate to high rate of speed, according to Forest Service officials.
Six engines and a hot shot crew are on scene and fighting the fire. The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office is assisting on scene.

Forest Service Road 24 is closed.
