MESA, Ariz. — A man was hospitalized Monday night after a shooting call in Mesa, the police department said.

Around 10:30 p.m., officers were sent to the scene near Country Club Drive and University for reports of someone who had been shot.
Authorities later found a man injured at the scene. He was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
According to police, the suspect was eventually detained with the help of SWAT.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
