PHOENIX — A adult man is in critical condition after a near-drowning incident at a backyard pool in central Phoenix, according to the Phoenix Fire Department.

The man was found unconscious and not breathing in a backyard pool near 7th Avenue and Indian School Road Monday afternoon.
Fire crews attempted to resuscitate the man and took him to the hospital in extremely critical condition.
