PHOENIX — A man was hospitalized after a shooting at a house party on Friday, the city’s police department said.

Around 10:30 p.m., officers were sent to a house party near 99th Avenue and Broadway Road for reports of a shooting. 

According to authorities, witnesses revealed that the party was breaking up when two groups started firing guns at each other. A 21‑year‑old man was reportedly shot and taken to a nearby hospital. 

Police said he was later transferred to St. Joseph’s Hospital with life‑threatening injuries. At last check, the man was in critical but stable condition.
