MESA, Ariz. — A man is dead after a hit-and-run crash near a Mesa shopping center on Saturday night, according to the city’s police department.

Around 11 p.m., officers were called to a parking lot near the Mesa Grand Shopping Center, located at Stapley Drive and Baseline Road intersection, for a crash involving a pedestrian and a truck.

Police said an adult male pedestrian died at the scene.

An alleged silver Ford F-150 left the scene of the crash before officers arrived.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or has information related to this incident is urged to contact the Mesa Police Department.
