PHOENIX — The Phoenix Fire Department said about 90 firefighters helped contain a fire that spread to three vacant buildings on Wednesday morning.

Around 4 a.m., firefighters responded to a house fire near Cave Creek and Greenway roads.
Upon arrival, firefighters worked to stop the blaze.
“Firefighters took a defensive position meaning we will not risk the lives of firefighters for what is already lost,” the Phoenix Fire Department said.

Three vacant buildings were fully involved in the fire, fire officials said.
Nobody is being displaced, fire officials said.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
