According to PCSD, the shooting occurred near Naomi and Kinney roads. Officials said the search for the male suspect is underway.
Deputies from the PCSD San Xavier District responded to reports of shots heard at a property near Naomi Road. When they got to the scene, deputies saw a large group of people leaving the area from what appeared to be a gathering at a nearby residence.
Deputies made contact with three men as they exited the driveway entrance of the property. When they made initial contact, one of the men began to run and had a handgun, authorities said. That was when the deputy-involved shooting occurred.
