Agustin Julian Sauceda, 39, of Casa Grande was recently sentenced to 24 years in prison after investigators reported finding over 5,000 files depicting a nude or partially nude juvenile on his electronic devices, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office of Arizona. The defendant had reportedly produced the files.
Prosecutors said the defendant was additionally found in possession of 14,000 files of child sex abuse material he had received from the internet.
Sauceda had served as a battalion chief for the Eloy Fire District before he was prosecuted for the charges.

“As a firefighter, this individual was entrusted with protecting and serving his community. Instead, he betrayed that trust in the most egregious way possible,” Jason T. Stevens, special agent in charge for HSI Arizona, said in statement.
After his prison sentence, the defendant will serve a lifetime term of supervised release.
