PHOENIX — A pedestrian has been killed after a hit-and-run crash Saturday morning in west Phoenix, according to the city’s police department.

Around 3 a.m., officers were called to 50th Avenue and McDowell Road for a crash that involved a male pedestrian who was crossing mid-block.
The Phoenix Fire Department arrived on the scene and pronounced the man dead, police said.

The vehicle that struck the pedestrian, which is believed to be a pickup truck, left the scene, police said.
