Mesa police reported arresting 53-year-old Chad Planck last month for allegedly taking about $9,000 worth of merchandise from various Home Depot locations. The suspect would pay for a low-priced item at the store’s self-service checkout area, then leave Home Depot with higher-priced items he had not paid for.
The offenses took place between January and April, records show. Prosecutors said each incident was captured on surveillance cameras.
