AVONDALE, Ariz. — The sudden death of 41-year-old Kyle Busch on Thursday has left NASCAR fans stunned as the driver was just days away from appearing at the Coca-Cola 600.

No exact cause of death has been disclosed but Busch’s family had said he was hospitalized for a “severe illness.”
Busch won 234 races across NASCAR’s three national titles, more than any driver in history, according to the Associated Press. Over the course of his career, the Las Vegas-born driver made frequent visits to Arizona to race at Avondale’s Phoenix Raceway.
