MESA, Ariz. — A man was injured after a crash in Phoenix, police said.
According to Mesa police, this incident began with a traffic stop attempt near Alma School and McClellan roads in Mesa.

During the stop, a motorcycle rider reportedly failed to yield and fled from officers. Police said officers decided not to pursue the rider.
The suspect then later crashed into another vehicle on Interstate 10 westbound near 19th Avenue. The suspect was transported to a local hospital for his injuries.
