GRAND CANYON, Ariz. — The body of an Arizona State University student, who went missing last month in the Grand Canyon, was recovered from below the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, the National Park Service said.

26-year-old Sandarsh Krishna was reported missing by his family on April 28, according to officials.
Krishna was a computer science graduate student at ASU and was to graduate this month, according to his family.
NPS said park service personnel located Krishna’s body near the Verkamp’s Visitor Center on Saturday, May 9.
The National Park Service said the incident remains under investigation by the Coconino County Medical Examiner and NPS.
No additional information was released.
